My own company!

This month I have been to the Chamber of Commerce to register my company “Wim de Gier”. The activities I will execute in this company will be the following:

  • (International) Project Management advice
  • Interim (project) management
  • Supervision Project Managers
  • IPMA Assessments
  • (Keynote) Speaker at international congresses
  • Congress Chairman

For several years I have had this idea in my mind and 2014 will be the year to really put this into the market. As you can read on the page of my website “about me/work” I am already executing activities in this area, next to my role as Senior Global Project Manager.

To have this formalized it gives me a good feeling and a lot of positive energy. Looking at my career it’s time to explore new areas alongside my Global Project Management role.

Next to the above I have had yesterday (19 March 2014) a full evening at the Dutch Tax authorities (belastingdienst) where they have explained the “tax rules of the game” having you own company. It was nice to see a full room of +/- 70 people who would like to start (or just started like me) their own company. It was mentioned by the trainers that in Utrecht alone the “belastingdienst” gives every week this training and they notice that with the growing amount of people the economy is really picking up. Reading the news and looking around (including more traffic jams than before :-))I totally agree!
